Cranberry Fruit Bread

2 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup shortening
3/4 cup orange juice
1 Tbsp orange rind
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 cup chopped nuts
2 cup cranberries

Sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt cut in shortening. Combine juice, rind and egg. Add all at once to flour mixture, but do not over mix. Fold in nuts and cranberries. Bake 1 hour for 350 deg. F. in a buttered loaf pan or small casserole.
